My research interests focus on the ecology, landscape genetics, restoration, and conservation of freshwater ecosystems. I have been working on large-scale spatial patterns of aquatic plants, combining community, population, and landscape approaches. 

I serve as Associated Editor of the journals WETLANDS and Aquatic Botany.
