Molly Baughman started as a Senior Associate Scientist I with Environmental Consulting & Technology (ECT) in October 2021. As a botanist/wetland scientist/ecologist for ECT, her main responsibilities include wetland delineation fieldwork and report writing, endangered and threatened species surveys, and habitat conservation planning. Ms. Baughman also recently started as the Biodiversity Grants Chair for the Indiana Native Plant Society. 

Previously, she was an environmental scientist with CHA Consulting, Inc. Ms. Baughman’s main responsibilities included field surveys and report preparation for mitigation monitoring and planning, wetland delineations, waterway permitting, and habitat assessments. Ms. Baughman is an avid botanist with over ten years of experience conducting botanical surveys for various projects, ranging from wetlands to forests. Notable work includes five years of stream and wetland mitigation monitoring for the Indiana Department of Transportation with Floristic Quality Assessments at each site. Ms. Baughman has completed plant trainings with the Institute of Botanical Training, Timothy Walters, Ph.D., the Bureau of Land Management, and the Chicago Botanic Gardens. She has eight years of experience completing mitigation monitoring, wetland delineations, mitigation plans, and habitat evaluations. Ms. Baughman completed the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Training Program (Cert. No. 7330) in 2014. 

Additionally, Ms. Baughman previously worked for Davey Resource Group specializing in habitat restoration for mitigation, park and nature preserve projects. In addition, she conducted tree inventories for urban and utility forestry projects as a Certified Arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture (IN-3443A). Ms. Baughman graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Plant Studies from Purdue University in 2010. While in school, Ms. Baughman worked as a Laboratory and Teaching Assistant for the Botany and Plant Pathology Department. Furthermore, after school, Ms. Baughman completed internships with the Student Conservation Association and Bureau of Land Management.
