He has coauthored amici briefs on behalf of environmental scientists and scientific societies in Clean Water Act cases\, including as lead counsel for the amici brief filed on behalf of SWS and other scientific societies in the U.S. Supreme Court in the cases of County of Maui v. Hawaii Wildlife Fund and Sackett v. U.S. EPA.
