Wetland Biologist

Midwest Natural Resources (MNR) is seeking applicants for a seasonal wetland biologist to join our team of highly skilled field staff. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team setting. This position requires long (12+ hours) work days and travel outside of the Twin Cities metro region for extended periods of time. Employee duties include field surveys, protocol development, and proposal/report writing for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded biologist with the flexibility to conduct a wide range of natural resource field work.

Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Biology, Ecology, Botany, etc.)
•Ability to identify regional flora/fauna in a field setting
•Experience following detailed survey protocols
•Valid driver’s license and good driving record
•Ability to hike up to 10 miles per day in extreme weather conditions
•Ability to travel, staying in hotels for extended periods of time
•Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience using Trimble GPS products and/or Esri FieldMaps for data collection
•Experience using ArcMap, ArcPro, or other GIS software
•Basic knowledge of wetland delineation and classification procedures
