Post-doctoral Research Associate

The Center for Coastal Studies at Texas A & M University Corpus Christi is seeking a post-doctoral research associate to fill a critical position on our team. The successful candidate will conduct research on climate-driven ecological changes and restoration in wetlands of coastal Texas.

Job Duties

  • Fieldwork in wetlands
  • Processing samples in the laboratory
  • Development and initiation of experiments
  • Data analyses
  • Preparation of proposals and manuscripts

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in ecology, biogeochemistry, or related field
  • Experience doing fieldwork in wetland ecosystems
  • Proficiency in statistics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with R programming, GIS, experimental design
  • Identification of plants
