Natural Resources Professional – Various locations in the Southeast U.S.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecological or related field.


Requirements

  • 5 years work experience with aquatic resource delineations geographically located within the southeastern U.S. and utilizing the USACE Regional Supplements for the Atlantic & Gulf Coastal Plain Region and the Eastern Mountains & Piedmont Region. 
  • Experience within the Great Plains and Arid West Regions as well as TDEC and/or FDEP aquatic resource regulations preferred, but not required.
  • Must be capable of leading field crews of less experienced personnel. Job will entail field delineation of aquatic resources, determination of potential jurisdictional status, and preparation of reports.
  • 5 years work experience with US Corps of Engineers (USACE) permitting for impacts to streams and wetlands. Job will entail preparing permit applications and pre-construction notifications for nationwide and individual USACE permits with limited supervision.
  • Experience developing and implementing stream and wetland mitigation and restoration plans.
  • Experience conducting habitat surveys for threatened and endangered species and coordinating with US Fish and Wildlife Service.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with GPS equipment (Trimble, ArcGIS Field Maps, Terrasync, etc.)
  • Experience with ArcGIS preferred, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time preferred, but schedule negotiable.
