
Environmental Regulatory Coordinator
The City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) is seeking a dedicated Environmental Regulatory Coordinator to manage the City’s Streamlining permitting program, which is focused on working with federal, state and local regulators to help the City’s construction and operations in streams and wetlands meet the federal, state and City environmental regulations and permits.
The Environmental Regulatory Coordinator is a member of the BES Project Management Office and will work regularly with federal, state and local environmental regulators to manage the integrated permitting process to review and evaluate projects, coach and facilitate project teams in understanding permit requirements and compliance obligations, and work with the agencies to identify process or regulatory efficiencies including programmatic approaches. Projects are primarily construction projects that affect rivers, streams and wetlands including restoration projects, infrastructure and transportation projects, and operations and maintenance work on existing infrastructure.
