Ecological Land Services, Inc. is seeking a Biologist/Wetland Scientist to support work in the diverse field of environmental consulting located at our Bremerton, Washington office. Successful candidates will be responsible for supporting a variety of our natural resources projects, with a primary focus on environmental permitting, in-field environmental analysis (wetland delineations, stream, and habitat reconnaissance), and project management. A multidisciplinary science-based background, including, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Natural Resource Sciences, and prior environmental permitting and/or field experience of a similar nature is desired. Fieldwork may take place in a variety of environmental settings, potentially including working away from home, or working on foot in remote, mountainous, or uneven terrain. Our projects are located throughout Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. Work may be performed in a wide variety of weather conditions. Candidates must also possess strong report writing and oral communication skills. Ability to work both independently using self-managing skills and contribute within a dynamic teamwork setting is desired.

Responsibilities of the Biologist/Wetland Scientist may include but are not limited to:
• Project management, including all aspects of permitting a project from inception to permit issuance and project completion
• Preparation of wetland delineation reports, functional assessments, mitigation plans, and environmental compliance/permitting documents
• Stream, wetland, and wildlife habitat assessments
• Monitoring, wetland, and stream projects

The pay ranges from $18.00 - $24.00 hourly (depending on experience), with benefits package.
